The White Birch

Biography

The White Birch is a slowcore/post-rock band from Oslo, Norway. Formed in 1996 by Ola Fløttum (vocals, guitar), Ulf Rogde (bass), Hans Christian Almendingen (drums) and Frode Løes Arnesen (keyboards, samples).

Frode Løes Arnesen left the band in 2000, and The White Birch became a trio. The band released three studio albums and then broke up after the band played their last show in 2006.

In late 2010 Ola Fløttum resurrected The White Birch as his solo project.
