SLAPOVI is a Serbian rock band formed in Belgrade in 1990. The band’s name translates to “Waterfalls” in English. SLAPOVI gained popularity in the 1990s with their energetic live performances and unique blend of rock, punk, and ska influences.
The band’s original lineup consisted of Zoran Janković (vocals, guitar), Tomislav Stojković (bass), Nebojša Minić (guitar), and Goran Knežević (drums). Over the years, there have been several lineup changes, but the core members have remained constant.
SLAPOVI released their debut album, “Svetlost i senke” (Light and Shadows), in 1994, which was well-received by both fans and critics. The album showcased the band’s versatility and songwriting skills, with tracks ranging from high-energy punk rock anthems to more introspective ballads.
