Biography

Micatone is a German electronic music band that was formed in Berlin in 2000. The group consists of vocalist Lisa Bassenge, keyboardist Boris Meinhold, and drummer, percussionist and producer Paul Kleber. Micatone’s sound is a fusion of electronic, jazz, soul, and pop influences, creating a unique and captivating musical experience.

The band released their debut album “Nine Songs” in 2002, which garnered critical acclaim for its innovative blend of genres and Bassenge’s soulful vocals. This was followed by the albums “Is You Is” in 2003, “Nomad Songs” in 2005, and “Wish I Was Here” in 2008. Micatone’s music is characterized by its dreamy atmospheres, intricate rhythms, and introspective lyrics, creating a sound that is both sophisticated and accessible.
