Ernest Hood

Guitarist and zither player, born June 2, 1923 in Charlotte, North Carolina. For many years active as a jazz guitarist in the Portland, Oregon area in the 1940s and later as a studio musician. He played with his brother [a=Bill Hood] and saxophonist [a269594]. Hood contracted polio in the 1950s, which confined him to using a wheelchair for the rest of his life.
