Biography

Bambara is a post-punk band hailing from Brooklyn, New York. The band was formed in 2012 by twin brothers Reid and Blaze Bateh, along with William Brookshire. The trio’s music is characterized by its dark, brooding sound, blending elements of post-punk, noise rock, and industrial music.

Drawing inspiration from the gritty streets of New York City, as well as from literature and film, Bambara creates a sound that is both haunting and intense. Reid Bateh’s deep, gravelly vocals and poetic lyrics add to the band’s enigmatic and atmospheric aesthetic.
